Recently I started wearing faux nails again, after a ~4 year hiatus. I have been seeing so many fun colors and patterns on social media and it made me want to wear them again. I tend to have better luck with press-on nails than manicures as well since I am hard on my nails while typing, cleaning, etc.
I was delighted when Celebritips reached out to ask if I would review their nails. They have some really unique designs that I hadn't seen before, as well as designs that are on trend, but in my opinion, they are trends that are here to stay.
Their nails are salon-grade and easy to use. My first impression is that I love the packaging as it makes storing and re-using super easy. They would also be great to travel with, especially if you need to apply on the go. The nails came with both glue and instant stick tabs. I prefer glue so that is what I used today, but I'm excited to try the instant tabs in the future.
I decided to try the Mini Tangerine today. They are a super cute print, and I'll usually go for a fun color in mid-winter just to brighten things up. I love that these have a neutral base, with a pop of orange. I usually go for short almond nails, and end up trimming them down but I feel like these are still a great length that is functional for my life.
Applying nails is super easy, there are instructions in the case as well as on the site, but here is what I do:
- Wash your hands.
- Trim your nails as short as possible.
- Push back your cuticles.
- Lightly buff the top of your nails.
- Use an alcohol wipe to remove any dust.
- Size your nails; there is a number on the back of each nail. I recommend writing this down for each finger so that in the future, you save time sizing.
- One nail at a time: Apply glue to your nail and then to the nail you are applying.
- Press the nail toward the cuticle at a 45-degree angle.
- Hold for 15 seconds.
- When you're done, lightly file the tips or trim if desired.
I noticed that Celebritips nails are slightly textured on the back, which is something I haven't seen in other brands but it should help the nail stay on better (similar to buffing your natural nails).
Celebritips is a small, female-founded business that I'm proud to share with you on my blog. The nails have been designed in LA, and are both vegan and cruelty-free. I can't wait to see what designs this brand produces next, and I'm excited to try a new design in a few weeks. Thank you Celebritips!
